The aim of this research is to identify the role of servant leadership in promoting organizational citizenship behavior from the point of view of employees in the Samawah Municipality Directorate through the question of the head of what is the impact of servant leadership on organizational citizenship behavior ?
In order to achieve the objectives of the research, two main hypotheses were developed from each hypothesis five sub-hypotheses , as it dealt with the first main hypothesis and its sub-hypotheses, the correlation relationship between the first variable, servant leadership (the independent variable) with its dimensions and the second variable, the behavior of organizational citizenship (the dependent variable) , and The second main hypothesis and its sub hypotheses dealt with the effect of the first variable with its dimensions on the second variable, and the researcher developed a hypothesis diagram showing the nature and type of relationship between the research variables and their dimensions, and in order to test the hypotheses related to the research, the researcher used the descriptive statistical approach as the questionnaire was used as a tool to collect data and information. In order to obtain the results of the statistical analysis, a sample consisting of (87) individuals representing a segment of employees working within the administrative and technical divisions and units of the directorate was approved , and for the purpose of analyzing the responses of the research sample, a number of statistical methods were used, the most important of which are (arithmetic mean, standard deviation, Pearson correlation coefficient, and the structural modeling equation). and based on the outputs of the statistical analysis, the researcher put together several conclusions, the foremost of which is to ensure (the existence of a correlation and influence relationship with positive statistical significance between serving leadership and organizational citizenship behavior), and based on these conclusions, the researcher presented a set of recommendations, the most prominent of which is the interest of senior management in the educational aspect of consolidating the concepts of servant leadership and organizational citizenship behavior among employees and expanding their perceptions about the two concepts because of their effective and positive role in creating a positive organizational climate that enhances the ability to achieve the goals of the researched organization.
