The Impact of E-government on the Performance of Organizations: An Analytical Study of the Opinions of a Sample of Officers and Employees of the General Traffic

The aim of study is to demonstrate the impact of “E-government” on the performance of organizations by highlighting the role of the General Traffic Directorate (the Directorate of Vehicle Registration and Driving Licenses) in the field of transformation towards achieving the requirements of “E-government”. (156) of (officers and employees) out of the total study population of (558) ، and for the purpose of conducting the field side، the independent variable depended on both dimensions (“human resource، organizational flexibility، administrative support، appropriate technology”) ، while the dependent variable adopted the dimensions (“Improving work efficiency، focusing on service beneficiaries، increasing employees’ feelings of satisfaction، organizational commitment”). The questionnaire was used as a basic tool for data collection. The level of its answers was determined according to the Fifth Likert Scale. The study started from a main hypothesis (the existence of a significant impact relationship for the variable “e-government” with its dimensions in the variable of organizational performance with its dimensions) ، and for the analysis of the practical side، the statistical methods were relied on (“confirmative factor analysis، cronbach’s alpha test، arithmetic mean، standard deviation). Pearson Correlation Coefficient، Structural Equation Modeling”) ، the study concluded a set of conclusions، including:

1. The organization under study has an application for the requirements of “E-government” moderately at the level of implementing the tasks and functions assigned to it.

2. The organization under study has a good credit of qualified human capabilities in the field of technical work.
