Abstract:

 This research deals with “information systems and their role in increasing banking awareness”, which means the extent to which banking and information systems contribute to its various administrative levels, as information systems play an important role in our present time due to the developments in the world of technology and information systems, as the bank has  Specialized informational programs and systems to increase banking awareness among customers. As for banking awareness, which shows the extent to which customers know the services provided by the bank through the latest modern means, attracting customers to the bank by owning all the parts of banking services and providing them to the largest number of customers through modern means of communication.

 The current study focused on determining the role of information systems in increasing banking awareness, and that information systems are one of the important topics that did not take an adequate role in research because of their significant role in increasing banking awareness, where the importance of research highlights its focus on banks’ use of these systems in all their operations and because  It has an impact, especially on the banking awareness represented by the private commercial banks in the holy province of Karbala. The researcher presented a theoretical framework for the research variables based on what theorists presented in this field and the field framework for the opinions of a sample of managers and workers in commercial banks in the holy province of Karbala, which amounted to (60) respondents.  Where the questionnaire was used as a basic measurement tool to collect data that was appointed to test the research hypotheses in the presence of a correlation between the two variables of the research.  investment of funds, awareness of financial leverage), so we can show that banking information systems contribute significantly to increasing banking awareness for the purpose of achieving the role of information systems in increasing banking awareness, the researcher recommends the need for consistency between banking information systems and banking awareness by focusing on workers in banking information systems in order to achieve their effectiveness efficiently and develop their programs in line with the needs of the customer and diversify the services provided by the bank and thus attract more  A number of customers and raising awareness about the services provided by the bank.
