The College of Administration and Economics – Department of Statistics Holds a Scientific Seminar on the Role of Scientific Research in Improving the Quality of Medical Services

Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics, Assistant Professor Dr. Hashim Jabbar Al-Husseini, the Department of Statistics at the college organized an extensive scientific seminar titled “The Role of Scientific Research in Improving the Quality of Medical Services” in the college’s conference hall. The seminar was attended by faculty members, researchers, and graduate students.

The seminar included a series of valuable lectures presented by experts in the fields of training, human development, and healthcare services. The lecturers included:

  • Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Ajresh from the Training and Human Development Center – Babil Health Directorate
  • Dr. Ammar Saeed Abdullah from the Training and Human Development Center – Babil Health Directorate
  • Lecturer Dr. Bashar Khalid Ali from the Department of Statistics – College of Administration and Economics

The lectures highlighted the importance of scientific research as a fundamental pillar for improving the quality of medical services and its role in supporting evidence-based health decision-making. The seminar also covered methods for applying statistics in analyzing health performance indicators, and the importance of continuous training and development for medical and administrative staff to ensure the delivery of effective and safe healthcare services to the community.

The seminar saw significant interaction from the attendees, who engaged in fruitful discussions and questions that focused on how to harness research findings to address the challenges facing the healthcare sector, particularly in the governorate and in Iraq more broadly.

At the end of the seminar, Dean Dr. Hashim Jabbar Al-Husseini expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the lecturers and participants, emphasizing the college’s commitment to organizing more scientific activities that contribute to community service and the development of vital sectors, especially the healthcare sector.

It is worth noting that this seminar is part of a series of scientific events organized by the Department of Statistics as part of its plan to enhance collaboration between academic institutions and service sectors to achieve sustainable development.
