Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Administration and Economics Organizes a Dialogue Seminar on “Socialization of Children”

Under the patronage of the respected Dean of the College of Administration and Economics, Assistant Professor Dr. Hashim Jabbar Al-Husseini, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the college organized a dialogue seminar titled “Socialization of Children”, presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Fadel Al-Saffar. The seminar was attended by faculty members, staff, and students interested in the topic of socialization and its impact on shaping a child’s personality.

The seminar began with a welcoming speech by the head of the Women’s Affairs Unit, who emphasized the importance of focusing on childhood issues and the need to activate the role of the family and educational institutions in raising children in a way that aligns with social and cultural developments.

During the seminar, Dr. Ahmed Fadel Al-Saffar discussed the concept of socialization and its significance in shaping a child’s personality from an early age, highlighting the vital role the family plays in instilling values, ethics, and providing a suitable environment for the child’s psychological and social development. He also addressed the challenges children face due to modern technological changes and the impact of social media on their behavior and thinking.

Dr. Al-Saffar stressed the need for collaboration between the family, school, and community to provide a safe and healthy environment that supports positive child development. He emphasized the importance of communication with children and listening to their needs and problems to ensure balanced and proper socialization.

The seminar included interventions and questions from the attendees, who actively engaged with the topics discussed. They shared personal experiences and challenges faced in raising children, which were then discussed with the lecturer to find practical solutions.

At the end of the seminar, Dean Dr. Hashim Jabbar Al-Husseini expressed his gratitude to the speaker and attendees, praising the efforts of the Women’s Affairs Unit in organizing such events that raise community awareness about childhood issues and proper socialization. He reaffirmed the college’s commitment to supporting such activities that enhance the university’s role in serving the community.
