Professor Dr. Ilham Nazem Al-Shibani, a faculty member at the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Karbala, participated in the international conference titled:
“Building Social Harmony, National Integration, and Peace in Pakistan: Insights from the Life of the Holy Prophet Hazarat Muhammad (PBUH)”,
held at Al-Fajr Institute in Pakistan. Dr. Ilham attended as a representative of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Hashim Jabbar Al-Husseini.

The conference focused on discussing effective ways to strengthen peace, social cohesion, and national unity in Pakistani society, drawing inspiration from the noble values of the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The event brought together researchers and academics from various Islamic countries to explore themes related to peaceful coexistence, good governance, and policy-making based on ethical principles.

During the conference sessions, Dr. Ilham presented a research paper titled:
“Governance and Policy-Making Influenced by Ethical Values and Humanitarian Principles: Insights from the Leadership of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).”
Her presentation highlighted the importance of ethical leadership in decision-making, showcasing examples from the Prophet’s life that demonstrated justice, tolerance, and wise governance in state and societal affairs.

In a statement on the sidelines of the conference, Dr. Ilham emphasized that her participation reflects the University of Karbala’s commitment to academic openness and knowledge exchange with international universities and research institutions. She noted that the conference served as a valuable platform to shed light on the leadership model of the Holy Prophet as an exemplary figure in promoting peace and harmony among nations.
