The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Karbala organized the Al-Noor Quranic Competition under the patronage of Assistant Professor Dr. Hashim Jabbar Al-Husseini, the Dean of the College, with the participation of a distinguished group of students competing in Quranic recitation and memorization.
The competition was attended by a specialized judging committee from the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain – Dar Al-Qur’an, led by Hajj Adel Al-Karbala’i, a renowned reciter from the shrine. The committee evaluated the participants based on rules of Tajweed, vocal performance, and adherence to proper recitation principles.
The event took place in a spiritually uplifting atmosphere, where students competed with enthusiasm and camaraderie, striving for the top positions. After intense competition, the judging panel announced the winners as follows:
First Place: Ali Ahmed Hani
Second Place: Ali Redha Hussein
Third Place: Adam Khudair Jameel
At the conclusion of the competition, the winners were honored with certificates of appreciation and symbolic awards in recognition of their outstanding Quranic performance. The Dean of the College praised the role of such competitions in fostering religious and spiritual values among students, encouraging them to continue engaging with the sciences of the Holy Quran.
