As part of its support for international students at the University of Karbala and in celebration of the holy month of Ramadan, the College of Administration and Economics has prepared and distributed Ramadan food baskets to students residing in the university dormitories, providing them with essential support during this blessed month.

This initiative was sponsored by the esteemed Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Hashim Jabbar Al-Husseini, and directly supervised by Assistant Lecturer Ihab Ziyad Al-Lami, Head of the Registration and Student Affairs Division at the college.

The food baskets included a variety of essential items needed during Ramadan, such as dates, rice, oil, sugar, lentils, beans, tea, tomato paste, and pasta, along with other necessities to help students prepare their Iftar and Suhoor meals with ease.

The Dean of the College emphasized that this initiative reflects the university’s commitment to supporting international students and providing assistance, especially given the challenges they may face while living away from their families. He highlighted the college’s ongoing efforts to create a comprehensive academic and social environment that supports students in all aspects.

Assistant Lecturer Ihab Ziyad Al-Lami stated that the campaign aims to promote a spirit of cooperation and solidarity among students. He affirmed that the college remains dedicated to offering continuous support, whether through providing essential needs or through various social and cultural activities.
