Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Amanat Al-Shammari, a faculty member at the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Karbala, participated as a member of the doctoral thesis defense committee outside Iraq, which was held at the Islamic Azad University – Isfahan Branch. The thesis, titled “Design and Testing of an Innovative Organizational Model for State-Owned Enterprises – A Case Study: Iraq,” discussed ways to develop an organizational model suitable for the challenges faced by public sector companies, particularly in complex environments like Iraq.
The study aimed to fill the research gap in organizational literature, as state-owned companies lack organizational models that align with governance requirements, accountability, shareholder management, and performance improvement. During the defense, Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Amanat Al-Shammari provided his academic comments on the theoretical and practical framework of the study, emphasizing the importance of developing innovative management solutions that align with the reality of public sector companies in Iraq.
The discussion concluded with a set of recommendations aimed at enhancing the institutional performance of these companies, emphasizing the need to adopt flexible organizational models that are compatible with the changing economic and regulatory environment.
