Abstract

This research aims to examine the impact of strategic planning on project management in a dynamic work environment by analyzing the relationship between strategic planning as an independent variable and project management as a dependent variable, while considering intermediary factors such as organizational environment, technological advancements, and economic factors.

The research problem stems from the challenges institutions face in an evolving environment influenced by technological and economic developments. These challenges necessitate effective strategic planning to ensure project success. Accordingly, this study seeks to analyze the relationship between strategic planning and project performance and explore ways to enhance project execution through well-structured planning strategies.

The significance of this research lies in highlighting the role of strategic planning in improving project performance, helping institutions adapt to ongoing changes and achieve their objectives more efficiently and effectively. To achieve this, the study was conducted on a variety of projects within the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine, where data was collected through surveys and analyzed statistically using SPSS software.

The research adopted a descriptive-analytical methodology, employing correlation and regression techniques to measure the impact of strategic planning on project management. The key findings of the study include:

A positive relationship between strategic planning and improved project management.

The role of environmental and organizational factors in determining the success of strategic planning.

The contribution of effective strategic planning in enhancing performance and reducing operational risks in projects.

Based on these findings, the research recommends fostering a culture of strategic planning within institutions to ensure sustainable performance. This includes adopting modern planning tools such as predictive models and scenario analysis while improving monitoring and evaluation processes to ensure effective strategy implementation and the achievement of desired goals.

This study contributes to the body of knowledge on strategic planning and project management and provides practical recommendations that can be applied to enhance project success in organizations operating in dynamic work environments.
