The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Karbala welcomed the ministerial delegation overseeing the National Afforestation Campaign in celebration of National Afforestation Day. The official visit aimed to strengthen afforestation efforts and expand green spaces within educational institutions.
The ministerial delegation was accompanied by the University’s Assistant President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Jassim Aidan Barak Al-Mamouri, who played a key role in supporting and promoting this important environmental initiative. He actively participated in tree planting alongside the ministerial delegation and college staff, reflecting the university’s commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable development.
The delegation was received by the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics, Assistant Professor Dr. Hashim Jabbar Al-Husseini, along with several faculty members, staff, and students. They warmly welcomed the visit, which highlights the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s dedication to supporting environmental initiatives within Iraqi universities.
During the visit, the delegation took a field tour of the university campus, where they examined the designated afforestation areas and received a detailed briefing on the college’s plan to expand green spaces.
