A significant meeting was held at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Karbala, presided over by Assistant Professor Dr. Hashim Jabbar Al-Husseini, the Dean of the College. The meeting was attended by representatives from Warith Al-Anbiya University and Al-Safwa University College to discuss the establishment of the framework and work plan for a joint examination between public and private universities.
The discussions focused on the mechanisms for implementing the joint examination and the key regulations and standards that ensure fairness and academic quality in assessments, in alignment with the guidelines of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The meeting also addressed technical and administrative aspects to guarantee smooth exam procedures and create a transparent and precise examination environment.
During the meeting, Dr. Hashim Jabbar Al-Husseini emphasized the importance of inter-university collaboration in enhancing students’ academic standards and unifying assessment criteria to serve the educational process in Iraq. Representatives of private universities welcomed this initiative, expressing their full readiness to cooperate in implementing this project, which contributes to strengthening integration among educational institutions.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the attendees agreed on a specific timeline for implementing the joint examination and the formation of joint committees to oversee the examination process in accordance with approved standards, ensuring the successful achievement of this pioneering step in Iraqi higher education.
