As part of its ongoing efforts to develop the scientific and practical skills of its academic and administrative staff, and to strengthen the practical aspect of the financial and accounting fields, the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Karbala organized a training course titled “Budget Preparation.”
The course was delivered by:
- Lecturer Dr. Ahmed Turki
- Assistant Lecturer Ahmed Abdul Hussein
- Assistant Lecturer Murtadha Hassan Khalif
The course covered several key topics, most notably:
- Fundamental concepts of the general budget
- Steps for preparing a planning budget in both public and private institutions
- Differences between estimated, operational, and capital budgets
- The role of budgeting in financial planning and control
- Challenges in preparing and implementing budgets and ways to address them
The course witnessed strong engagement from participants, whose backgrounds varied between academics and government employees. They praised the scientific and professional quality of the presentations and emphasized the importance of the topic in improving financial performance and promoting transparency and accountability.
At the conclusion of the course, participation certificates were distributed to attendees. The College extended its appreciation to the lecturers for their valuable efforts in making this scientific event a success.
This course is part of a series of training programs and workshops the College plans to organize during the current academic year, in support of its mission to serve the community and develop professional competencies.
