The Dean of the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Karbala, Assistant Professor Dr. Hashim Jabbar Al-Husseini, participated in the meeting of the Committee of Deans of Colleges of Administration and Economics in Iraqi universities, held at the University of Mosul on Thursday, April 10, 2025.
This meeting is part of the committee’s regular gatherings aimed at strengthening scientific and academic cooperation among colleges of administration and economics in Iraq and unifying efforts to address current challenges facing the higher education sector, particularly in the areas of curriculum modernization and aligning educational outcomes with the needs of the labor market.
During the meeting, the deans discussed several important topics, most notably the updating of curricula, the development of graduate programs, mechanisms to promote joint scientific research, and ways to achieve quality standards and academic accreditation across the colleges. The discussions also covered the current state and future prospects of e-learning and the importance of building effective partnerships among Iraqi universities.
In his remarks, Dr. Al-Husseini emphasized the importance of integration among the colleges of administration and economics and the need for sharing academic experiences and resources. He noted that the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Karbala is fully committed to supporting and advancing the educational process for the benefit of students and academia as a whole.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the committee issued several recommendations aimed at raising the level of university education in Iraq and emphasized the importance of continuing to hold these meetings to follow up on the implementation of agreed-upon plans and recommendations.
