The current research aims to examine the role of strategic leadership, through its dimensions (strategic personality, strategic thinking, strategic change, and strategic decisions), in promoting entrepreneurial behavior, specifically its dimensions (initiative, opportunity, and risk). A cement factory in Karbala was selected as the field of application for this research, with a sample of 110 factory employees. A questionnaire was designed and prepared specifically for this purpose. The research included two main hypotheses, from which eight sub-hypotheses were derived. The data obtained were analyzed and statistically processed. The current research relied on several statistical methods to arrive at the related results, the most important of which were: confirmatory factor analysis, Cronbach’s alpha test to test the reliability and validity of the research scale, simple correlation coefficient (Pearson correlation coefficient), correlation hypotheses, structural modeling, and Pearson correlation coefficient to verify the levels of influence. Descriptive analyses were also conducted using the weighted arithmetic mean and standard deviation, employing the statistical software programs v23, amose, and v26. (SPSS)
The research reached a number of conclusions, the most important of which is the existence of a statistically significant correlation and influence between the dimensions of strategic leadership and the improvement of entrepreneurial behavior at the Karbala Cement Plant. The research also offered a set of recommendations, most notably that the management of the Karbala Cement Plant should increase its awareness of the role and importance of strategic leadership in shaping and defining its directions to achieve its goals of survival, growth, and facing long-term challenges, in order to improve entrepreneurial behavior at the plant level as a whole. Furthermore, the plant’s management should demonstrate its interest in entrepreneurial behavior by encouraging individual initiatives and attracting qualified individuals.
