The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Karbala launched the activities of the Second Jobs Conference 2025 this morning in the Grand Hall, with a wide official and academic presence, and the participation of a distinguished group of companies, business leaders, and owners of small and large projects.
The conference was inaugurated under the patronage and attendance of the President of the University of Karbala, Professor Dr. Sabah Wajed Ali, with direct follow-up by Assistant Professor Dr. Hashim Jabbar Al-Husseini, who emphasized in his opening speech the importance of strengthening communication bridges between the university and the labor market, and providing real opportunities that enable graduates to engage in various work environments.
The conference witnessed broad participation from local companies and investment institutions, in addition to entrepreneurs and owners of pioneering initiatives, who presented briefings on available job opportunities, employment requirements, and mechanisms for developing graduates’ skills in line with market needs.
The Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Unit in the college also organized a series of direct meetings between company representatives and students and graduates, aiming to introduce them to the available opportunities and open channels for applications and preliminary interviews, thereby contributing to supporting youth career paths and empowering them economically.
The Second Jobs Conference comes as a continuation of the College of Administration and Economics’ approach in supporting its students and graduates, developing training and employment programs, and strengthening partnerships with both the public and private sectors to create a productive work environment that contributes to building the national economy.
