College of Administration and Economics Launches Major Campaign for Garden and Infrastructure Maintenance

As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the university environment and provide a comfortable and safe learning space, the College of Administration and Economics has launched a major campaign for the maintenance and rehabilitation of gardens, water networks, and sewage systems within the college premises. The campaign is being carried out under the direct supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Hashim Jabbar Al-Husseini, Dean of the College, with on-site follow-up by Dr. Hussein Ali Abdullah, Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs.

The campaign aims to improve the overall aesthetics of the college and enhance essential services, ensuring a comfortable atmosphere for students, faculty members, and staff. The garden maintenance efforts included revitalizing green spaces, planting various types of flowers and plants, pruning trees, and cleaning pathways and sidewalks to provide a healthy and pleasant outdoor environment for students during their breaks.

On the infrastructure front, the campaign focused on repairing water and sewage pipelines to ensure smooth water flow and prevent blockages that could disrupt daily activities. Maintenance work also included fixing leaks, replacing damaged pipes, and cleaning drainage systems to ensure the sustainability and efficiency of these essential services.

During an inspection of the campaign’s progress, Dean Dr. Hashim Jabbar Al-Husseini emphasized that these efforts align with the college’s strategic plan to improve service quality and create an optimal learning environment for students, faculty, and administrative staff. He further highlighted the college’s commitment to maintaining its facilities to ensure the continuity of the educational process under the best possible conditions.

Meanwhile, Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Hussein Ali Abdullah, stated that this campaign is a key priority within the college’s regular maintenance plan. He stressed the importance of on-site monitoring to ensure that all work is carried out efficiently and on schedule. He also expressed his gratitude to the engineering, technical, and labor teams for their hard work and dedication in executing the maintenance tasks with high quality.

At the conclusion of the campaign, students and faculty members expressed their appreciation for this initiative, highlighting its positive impact on the college environment. Many praised the college administration’s efforts in ensuring a well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing campus, which fosters a stronger sense of belonging and pride in the institution.
