The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Karbala Holds a Training Course on “Academic Accreditation Mechanisms in the College”

Under the patronage of the respected Dean of the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Karbala, Assistant Professor Dr. Hashim Jabbar Al-Husseini, the Quality Assurance and University Performance Division at the college organized a training course titled “Academic Accreditation Mechanisms in the College.” This course is part of the college’s ongoing efforts to enhance academic quality and achieve institutional and programmatic accreditation standards.

The course was delivered by:

  • Lecturer Dr. Bashar Khalid Ali
  • Assistant Lecturer Zainab Abdul-Hussein Hassan

The course covered several key topics, including: the concept of academic accreditation, national and international standards for educational program accreditation, steps for self-assessment, mechanisms for preparing periodic reports, and the role of academic departments in supporting quality requirements.

The course witnessed active participation from several faculty members and staff of the college, with notable engagement through discussions and exchanges that enriched the course content and promoted the sharing of experiences.

In his opening remarks, the Dean emphasized the importance of such training courses in promoting a culture of quality among college staff, noting that implementing academic accreditation standards contributes to improving higher education outcomes and enhancing the college’s standing locally and internationally.

The course concluded with an open discussion session, where participants’ questions were addressed, and an emphasis was placed on the continuation of organizing workshops and training courses focused on quality and academic accreditation.
