The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Karbala Holds a Training Course in Psychological Counseling

Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics and in coordination with the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Division at the University Presidency, a specialized training course in psychological counseling was held. The course targeted the heads of counseling units and liaison officers in the colleges and took place in the Sayyid Al-Shohada Hall at the College of Administration and Economics.

The course was delivered by Dr. Mohammed Reda Warwar, Head of the Psychological Counseling Division at the University of Karbala. He presented both theoretical and practical lectures addressing the concept of psychological counseling, its importance within the university environment, and the role of counseling units in providing psychological and educational support to students, particularly in facing psychological pressures and behavioral or intellectual challenges.

The course covered several key topics, including modern methods of psychological counseling, mechanisms for addressing common psychological and behavioral issues among students, strategies for promoting mental health on campus, and the role of liaison officers in coordinating between colleges and the Psychological Counseling Division to create a safe and stable educational environment.

The course witnessed active participation from attendees through discussions and questions, contributing to the exchange of experiences and enhancing the practical aspects of the presented material.

This course is part of the University of Karbala’s and the College of Administration and Economics’ efforts to develop the skills of counseling staff and strengthen the university’s psychological counseling system, positively impacting students and the overall educational process.
