As part of its continuous efforts to develop students’ skills and align academic knowledge with the rapid developments in the financial sector, the Department of Finance and Banking Sciences at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Karbala, organized a specialized training course titled “Smart Financial Marketing and Customer Attraction Strategies in the Era of Digital Banking Services.”
The course, held on March 8, 9, and 15, 2026, targeted undergraduate students, aiming to introduce them to modern mechanisms adopted by financial institutions and banks to attract customers and build loyalty amid intense digital competition.

The course covered several important scientific and technical topics, including:
Concept of Smart Financial Marketing: How big data and artificial intelligence are utilized to analyze customer behavior and deliver personalized services that meet their needs.
Digital Banking Services: Highlighting the shift from traditional banking to smart applications and its role in facilitating financial transactions and increasing user trust.
Customer Attraction and Retention Strategies: Explaining modern digital marketing methods and how to design innovative banking offers suitable for the “digital generation.”
Challenges and Opportunities: Discussing challenges facing digital financial marketing, such as cybersecurity and data privacy, and how to leverage opportunities available in both Iraqi and global markets.
The course witnessed active engagement from students, who raised numerous questions about the future of careers in the banking sector and the importance of acquiring digital marketing skills to succeed in the labor market after graduation.
