Abstract
Studies on economic performance assessment are of great importance to researchers, as they illustrate the progress and development of the industry in general or in particular, by comparing what has been achieved in previous years, comparing it with current years and raising future plans. Babil Cement Factory, located between the center of Musayyib and Siddh district of India, is administratively returned to Sada al-Hindi district of Babil province. It is one of the factories of the General Company for Southern Cement under the Ministry of Industry and Minerals. The cement factory produces two types of cement, For the production of these two types of cement in the wet way, and was in previous years to equip citizens and companies and laboratories of the private sector in those provinces. It has been shown through the research that this plant suffers from deviations in economic performance: low production quantities, high costs, lack of production capacity and then lack of optimal exploitation of economic resources available and therefore the research has tried to assess the economic performance of this plant during the period 2016ـ 2017.
