Abstract:
Financial inclusion is one of the means by which sustainable
development can be achieved in any national economy. On the
other hand, financial inclusion can be a goal for the central
bank through which it seeks to deliver financial services to all
groups of society, especially those with limited income, as the
basic argument from which to start The research is whether
financial inclusion with its three axes of banking service
approved by the Group of Twenty (GPFI)) which addresses
three main dimensions (access to financial services, use of
financial services, quality of banking services) is capable of
achieving sustainable development operations. The aim of this
research is to demonstrate the importance of financial inclusion
as a modern concept in banking work based on three basic axes
in providing banking services and its role in achieving and
supporting sustainable development operations through the
ability of Iraqi banks to deliver banking services and provide
them with high quality to different societal groups, and
therefore this matter It stimulates Iraqi banks to provide the
best banking services, as the growing banking awareness for
society groups achieves the idea of financial inclusion, which in
turn supports development processes in the country through
financing and supporting small projects that develop the
economic side, and the importance of research lies in that
financial inclusion achieves a state of competition between The
various financial institutions, which make them innovate and
provide the best banking services with high quality, which
achieves economic benefits for the country and thus achieving
sustainable development. By analyzing data on financial
inclusion and sustainable development in Iraq during the
period (2010-2018) in order to measure the impact and
correlation between the two variables, and to test the research
hypothesis by collecting data by relying on statistical reports
b
issued by the Central Bank of Iraq and the Ministry of
Planning, the Central Agency for Statistics and Development
Cooperation The data was analyzed according to the statistical
program SPSS V.25) to reach the results of the research, which
was summarized to a set of conclusions and recommendations.
Among the most prominent conclusions was that the Iraqi
banking sector did not contribute to sustainable development
operations except in very limited proportions and the reason for
this is due Total dependence on oil imports. As for the most
prominent recommendations, finding other sources of financing
sustainable development other than oil revenues has made Iraq
.more affected by global crises
Key words: financial inclusion, sustainable development, access,
.use, quality, Iraqi environment
