Abstract:
The current research aims through its chapters to choose the effect of strategic awareness as an independent variable with its indicators (awareness of the importance of citizen service, awareness of the importance of promoting services, awareness of the importance of directorate services, awareness of the importance of the external environment, awareness of the importance of administrative coordination) in achieving sustainable competitive advantage as a variable dependent on its dimensions (quality,
Response to the citizen, competence, and core capabilities).
The General Passports Directorate and the residence of all its branches were chosen because of the importance of the services of this Directorate to citizens, especially as it suffers from a great momentum in the field of demand for its services during certain times of the year, which causes lag in performance for a limited period, this matter created a state of complaining , Which motivated the researcher to try to study the causes, and then come up with a set of recommendations that can contribute to enhancing strategic
awareness among employees of the Directorate and all its branches, which the researcher believes will increase its capabilities to serve the citizen.
In an attempt to explain the relationship and links between research variables, and through field research and reliance on the descriptive analytical approach, a random sample was taken of a group of employees of the directorate (directors, heads of departments and directors of the people) at the headquarters and representatives of its branches in the governorates who are (101) of respondents, and the questionnaire was used to collect Information and the use of ready-made statistical programs (Excel2010, AMOS, SPSS.23) to test the hypotheses and reach the results by taking advantage of the appropriate statistical methods.
The research reached a number of conclusions, the most important of which is the emergence of the role of strategic awareness at various levels and its impact on the ability of the Passports and Residence Directorate to provide the best services to citizens, and the research concluded with a set of recommendations pertaining to the researched department to contribute collectively to the development of strategic awareness and the performance of the Directorate in achieving organizational goals and the pursuit of
sustainability with excellence In providing its services, and among the most important of these recommendations (the need to spread strategic awareness in organizations as it contributes to the application of strategies that seek to achieve excellence and creativity in the work).
