Abstract

   The construction industries are important manufacturing industries on which the national economy depends on , because they are closely related to the economic development process, so it is necessary to research in this field in order to develop this industry and evaluate its performance to identify the shortcomings that it suffers and to work to repair them and avoid them in the future.
The study of the economic reality of the plant of production of Block and polygonal block of Al- Lewaa International Company, one of the investment projects of Al-Abbas holy shrine, shows that there is some economic efficiency in most of the plant’s activities, with the diagnosis of some deviations in some activities:-
• Maintenance activity
• One hour work productivity
• The average wage of workers per day
• The average share of the basic working hour

   As for the activities characterized by the plant in terms of efficiency of performance has been clear through the calculation of indicators:
• Productivity and development of the worker
• The productivity and development of wages
• One hour productivity for machines and Machinery
• Operating ratio (machine efficiency use)
• The productivity of materials (commodity inputs) and their development.
• Leakage rate of workers (rate of workers’ lops)

• Manu factoring degree

   The most important proposals recommended by the study are to address the deviations achieved through the process of evaluating of the efficiency of the economic performance of the plant , recommending to address the maintenance activity in the plant and allocation of professional workers specialized in maintenance work instead of assigning the same worker in maintenance tasks and this would improve the process of production .

   The study also suggests pushing the productivity of one hour work forward by ensuring  of consider incentives in the years to come, which has the effect of increasing production.

   Finally, we recommend the management of the company or the plant to pay attention to the process of evaluating the economic performance and facilitate the task of researchers and cooperate with them and provide the required data ,  for the process of diagnosis of strengths points to strengthen them and weaknesses to address them.
