The staff of the Faculty of Administration and Economics participated in a specialized workshop organized by the National Council for the Accreditation of Management and Economics Programs, hosted by the Faculty of Tourism Sciences. The workshop aimed to clarify the mechanisms and procedures for applying for program accreditation, a crucial step to ensure the enhancement of academic program quality and the promotion of higher education standards.
The workshop was attended by several department heads and faculty members from the Faculty of Administration and Economics, along with representatives from other related colleges. A group of experts and specialists from the National Council delivered the lecture, addressing several key topics, including:
- Program accreditation standards, including the alignment of programs with global academic standards.
- Steps for preparing the evaluation file for accreditation applications, with an emphasis on submitting comprehensive and accurate reports.
- The role of assessment and evaluation in ensuring the quality of the educational process.
- The importance of strengthening partnerships between colleges and other academic institutions to achieve academic excellence.
The workshop included interactive discussion sessions between the attendees and experts, where answers were provided to attendees’ questions, particularly regarding the challenges colleges may face during the application stages. Practical examples from other colleges that have successfully received program accreditation were also shared.
At the conclusion of the workshop, participants emphasized the importance of holding such workshops to enhance the shared understanding of accreditation requirements and support colleges in improving their academic programs, contributing to the preparation of qualified graduates who meet the needs of the local and international job markets.
