Abstract
The current study aimed to explore the impact of cleaner production strategy in the sustainable supply chain through the modifying role of green intellectual capital. In order to establish the intellectual and philosophical foundations, the researcher relied on the (Satyro, 2023) model to measure the cleaner production strategy, which consists of nine dimensions (strategy, waste, recycling, life cycle, resources, energy, production, work, work environment), and the Chen, 2008) model to measure green intellectual capital, which includes three dimensions (green human capital, green relational capital, and green structural capital). While the sustainable supply chain was measured through the Paulraj et al., 2017) model, which consists of four dimensions (sustainable product design, sustainable process design, sustainable design on the supply side, sustainable design on the demand side). The study relied on the questionnaire as a primary tool for collecting data and information about the study community, which was represented by the employees of the Union Food Industries Company, while the researcher relied in the analysis and statistical processing on (exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis, as basic structural tests for the validity of the adopted measures, in addition to that the current study relied on the descriptive analytical approach), and based on the study problem and its hypotheses, the researcher reached a set of conclusions, the most prominent of which was that the cleaner production strategy is a commitment by the business organization to environmental standards that lead to a gradual reduction in the amount of pollutants and avoiding penalties and fines imposed by governments due to pollution caused by the organization, in addition to improving the organization’s relationship with the parties and organizations concerned with the environment and society, green intellectual capital helps greatly to overcome environmental crises that may plague some organizations, the sustainable supply chain contributes to reducing energy use and reducing industrial waste in a way that helps improve the organization’s image before governments and organizations concerned with the environment as well as the society in which the organization carries out its activities.
