This research aimed to identify the concept of quality of functional work life represented by its dimensions (moral working conditions, benefits provided to workers, complaints and grievances handling, participation in decision-making, wages and rewards), which means the sum of the policies, procedures and processes implemented by the organization in order to develop and improve the career and personal life of its employees Which, in turn, is reflected in the performance of the organization and individuals positively, and thus the organization achieves its goals and aspirations while at the same time satisfying and satisfying the desires of its employees, which ensures its continuity and success, and its role in the contextual performance represented by its dimensions (organizational citizenship, organizational commitment), which means the behavior of employees towards their organization, and their beliefs that affect the Organizational citizenship, job loyalty, desire to continue working, and belief in the organization.
The problem of the research from the researcher’s point of view lies in exploring the extent to which the researched organization is interested in the dimensions of the quality of functional work life and its application in a scientific manner, and the extent of its impact on achieving the contextual performance of the organization, represented by the General Company for Grain Manufacturing / Holy Karbala Branch. The research provided a theoretical framework for the research variables depending on Based on what theorists presented in this field and a practical and analytical framework for the opinions of a sample of workers in the General Company for Grain Processing / Holy Karbala Branch, which amounted to (52) respondents, where the questionnaire was used as a basic measurement tool for data collection And the use of a set of statistical methods using statistical programs (SPSS 26) and (Excel 2019), and the research reached several conclusions, the most important of which was that
the quality of functional work life in its dimensions positively affects contextual performance, so it can be said that improving the quality of functional work life contributes to achieving contextual performance For workers, and for the purpose of achieving the role of quality of functional work life in contextual performance, the researcher recommends the need for organizations to adopt the concept of quality of functional work life in its dimensions to achieve contextual performance by improving job tasks and improving job clima.
