Abstract
The current study aimed to determine the interactive (modifying) role of the organizational harmony variable in the relationship between strategic human resources practices and strategic response. In order to achieve this, the study relied on selecting five dimensions of strategic human resources practices based on a number of studies, including the study ((Chen & Huang, 2009 and Sánchez et al, 2015)), and the study (Mavengere, 2013) was relied upon to determine the dimensions of strategic response, while the organizational harmony variable was relied upon to determine the dimensions .
The study problem was represented in a number of cognitive questions that revolve around the extent of the impact of strategic human resources practices in achieving strategic response in the presence of organizational harmony as an interactive variable. The importance of the study is evident in the importance of the sector in which it was applied, which is the tourism sector, due to its important role in the economic development of the country .
The cities of visitors affiliated with the holy shrine of Imam Hussein, represented by (the city of the Master of Guardians, peace be upon him, the city of Imam Hassan al-Mujtaba, peace be upon him, and the modern city of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, in the holy Karbala, were chosen to represent the study community, which numbered (1458 ) It was assigned to test the study hypotheses by preparing a form prepared for this purpose and distributed to a sample of those assigned in the visitor cities, numbering (305) assigned, based on the (Morgan) table to determine the sample size .
The descriptive analytical approach was mainly relied upon in presenting, analyzing and interpreting the study information, which was obtained through the questionnaire as well as personal interviews with a sample of employees. A number of appropriate statistical methods were relied upon to analyze the data, relying on ready-made statistical programs such as (Spss v.25, Amos V.25.(
The study reached a number of conclusions, the most important of which is that organizational harmony modifies (increases) the relationship between strategic human resources practices in strategic response. The study recommended a number of recommendations, including the necessity of paying attention to and enhancing human resources practices and linking them to the organization’s strategy and paying attention to achieving harmony and consistency between employees and their management, as this has a major role in enhancing strategic response to increase its ability to adapt to rapid environmental changes .
