Abstract:
The research sought to identify the extent of the influence of the variable of the role of the trainer’s personality characteristics on the variable of the effectiveness of the training program. The opinions of two samples were surveyed, the first of which was specialized in trainers working in government training centers in Babil Governorate and trainers in local and international civil society organizations, totaling 37 trainers, to answer the personality characteristics questionnaire. The other sample included trainees with the trainers in the first sample, totaling 140 trainees, to answer the training effectiveness evaluation questionnaire. Using the statistical program (SPSS.v.25), the hypotheses were tested by calculating the simple correlation coefficient matrix (Person) and simple regression analysis for the purpose of testing the relationships of influence between the study variables and testing the research model. The research found that the dimension of conscience at the level of the dimensions of the trainer’s personality characteristics variable achieved first place, followed by extraversion, agreeableness, openness, and finally the dimension of neuroticism achieved last place. As for the dimensions of the training program, the dimension of interaction achieved first place, followed by behavior, results and learning in fourth place. The results of the correlation between the variable of the trainer’s personality characteristics and the effectiveness of the training program showed that there is a positive correlation. The results of the influence relationship between the variable of the trainer’s personality characteristics and the variable of the effectiveness of the training program show that the variable of personality characteristics is able to explain an important part of the changes that occur in the effectiveness of the training program. Based on the data of the study, the research recommends that training centers pay attention to the personal aspects of trainers, as well as include the subject of personality characteristics in the curricula of trainer training courses and explain the importance of the conscience dimension to ensure the effectiveness of the training program, as well as focus on the interaction dimension due to its importance in evaluating the effectiveness of the training program.
