He delivered a specialized scientific lecture titled:<br><strong>\u201cThe Role of the Audit Committee Chairperson in Reducing Earnings Manipulation.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This participation was made possible with the generous support of the President of the University of Karbala, Professor Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, and the direct sponsorship of the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics, Assistant Professor Dr. Hashim Jabbar Al-Husseini.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Lecture Topics:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The lecture addressed several key areas dealing with current challenges in the accounting profession, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Definition and types of earnings manipulation, and its impact on the quality of financial statements and investor confidence.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The role of the audit committee chairperson in enhancing financial transparency and guiding internal and external audit practices.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Controls and procedures necessary to reduce manipulation practices, through risk assessment, analysis of accounting policies, and cooperation with external auditors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A comparative analysis of audit committee practices in selected Arab and international companies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recommendations to enhance the independence and effectiveness of audit committees in line with international corporate governance standards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>International Interaction and Recognition:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The lecture was met with significant engagement from researchers and academics participating in the seminar. Dr. Hussein Imran received praise for his rigorous academic approach and the advanced level of knowledge presented. The event also highlighted the importance of the University of Karbala\u2019s openness to international academic collaboration in the fields of accounting and financial oversight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Strengthening Academic Collaboration:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Hussein Imran emphasized that this participation marks an important step toward expanding the base of cooperation between the University of Karbala and Sairman University.
