Prof. Dr. Hashem Jabbar Al-Husseini<\/strong>, Dean of the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Karbala, participated in the ninth edition of the Engineering Conference organized by the College of Engineering at the university, with wide participation from researchers and academics from Iraqi, Arab, and international universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The conference witnessed distinguished official and academic attendance, including deans, directors of departments, relevant officials, as well as a group of professors, researchers, and students, reflecting the university\u2019s support for joint scientific and research activities among its colleges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The conference covered multiple scientific topics encompassing various engineering disciplines offered at the College of Engineering, including Architecture, Civil, Mechanical, Materials, Prosthetics and Biomedical Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, and Chemical Engineering. These discussions aimed to broaden the horizons of applied research and link its outcomes to development requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During his opening speech, <strong>Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid<\/strong>, President of the University of Karbala, emphasized the university\u2019s commitment to promoting scientific research, encouraging innovation, and creating an academic environment conducive to providing sustainable engineering solutions that serve national development plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dr. Haider Al-Muhanna<\/strong>, Dean of the College of Engineering, noted that the conference received more than 90 scientific papers, 81 of which were accepted after peer review. He added that over 22 contributions came from international universities and that the conference platform is linked to the global Scopus database for reputable academic publishing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The participation of the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics underscores the importance of scientific integration among the colleges of the University of Karbala and its ongoing support for scientific events that contribute to the development of academic research and enhance interdisciplinary collaboration.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Asst.
