Two faculty members from the University of Karbala, Hassan Ahmed Hashim and Prof. Dr. Faisal Alwan Al-Taie, have published a joint scientific research paper titled:
“Responsible Leadership and Its Impact on Enhancing the Entrepreneurial Orientation of Business Organizations – An Exploratory Study of the Opinions of Middle Management Leaders at the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine”
in the Iraqi Journal of Administrative Sciences.
Research Objective
This study aims to examine the impact of responsible leadership on fostering entrepreneurial orientation among middle management leaders at the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine.
Responsible leadership was measured through four key dimensions:
- Ethical person
- Ethical manager
- Stakeholder engagement
- Focus on sustainable growth
Entrepreneurial orientation was assessed based on five dimensions:
- Innovativeness
- Risk-taking
- Proactiveness
- Autonomy
- Competitive aggressiveness
A structured questionnaire was randomly distributed to a sample of 226 leaders, and the data were analyzed using SPSS v25, Amos v23, and Microsoft Excel 2016.
Key Findings
The results revealed a significant correlation and impact between responsible leadership and entrepreneurial orientation. The study highlighted the importance of leadership that is grounded in ethical values, sustainability, and innovation.
Recommendations
The researchers recommend reinforcing ethical values within leadership strategies and promoting innovation and entrepreneurial thinking to ensure long-term business sustainability.
