This morning, the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Karbala celebrated Iraqi National Day, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, President of the University of Karbala, and under the supervision and follow-up of Asst. Prof. Dr. Hashem Jabbar Al-Husseini, Dean of the College.
The celebration was held in the Sayyid Al-Maa Hall at the College Deanery, with the attendance of several department heads, faculty members, staff, and students.
The event began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and a reading of Surah Al-Fatiha in memory of the martyrs of Iraq, followed by the performance of the Iraqi national anthem.
The Dean of the College then delivered a speech expressing his pride and honor on this national occasion, which embodies the unity and solidarity of the Iraqi people. He emphasized that celebrating National Day is a reflection of loyalty and belonging to the homeland and a renewal of the pledge to work for its progress and prosperity.
The ceremony included a series of artistic and cultural performances by the students, featuring patriotic poems and songs expressing love for Iraq, its glory, and its rich history. It also included visual presentations highlighting key milestones in Iraq’s civilizational and humanitarian journey.
The celebration concluded with the honoring of participants and outstanding performers, amid an atmosphere of pride and joy, as attendees expressed their pride in their national identity and their affiliation with the University of Karbala and the College of Administration and Economics.
