The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Karbala Organizes a Training Course Entitled “How to Choose High-Impact Journals”

The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Karbala organized a three-day training course entitled “How to Choose High-Impact Journals”, held from October 6 to 8, 2025. The course targeted employees, researchers, and postgraduate students.

The course was presented by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Amanah and Dr. Nibras Kazem Abd, and covered the main scientific foundations and criteria for selecting reputable journals with a high impact factor. It also discussed mechanisms for verifying the credibility of scientific journals within international databases such as Scopus and Web of Science.

The lecturers also focused on common mistakes made by researchers when choosing journals, and explained modern methods to avoid publishing in predatory or fake journals, aiming to enhance the quality of scientific research and academic publishing at the university.

At the conclusion of the course, participants expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the lecturers and the college administration for organizing such activities that contribute to developing research skills and promoting a culture of credible scientific publishing.
