Faculty of Business and Economics – University of Karbala The Department of Financial and Banking Sciences Organizes a Scientific Trip to the Central Bank of Iraq

The Department of Finance and Banking Sciences at the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Karbala organized a scientific trip for the students of the department to the Central Bank of Iraq in Baghdad, as part of the scientific programs aimed at linking the theoretical aspect with applied practices in financial institutions.

The visit took place under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Hamed Mohsen Jadah, where the students were briefed during the trip on the most important departments of the Central Bank and its work mechanisms, in addition to learning about monetary policies, banking control mechanisms, and cash reserve management.

The visit also included introductory lectures presented by specialists from the Central Bank on the role of the institution in supporting financial stability and regulating the banking sector, as well as scientific discussions that enriched the students’ knowledge and broadened their perceptions of the reality of banking in Iraq.

This visit comes as part of a series of scientific activities organized by the department with the aim of enhancing the practical aspect of students and preparing them to integrate into the banking and financial labor market in accordance with the college’s vision to develop the skills of its students and raise their scientific efficiency.
