The Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Karbala organized a training course entitled “Change Management in the Organization: The Role of Human Resources in Adapting to Change” for the period from 18 to 20 November 2025, with the participation of undergraduate students from various scientific departments, as part of the college’s programs aimed at developing students’ skills in the fields of modern management.

During which she addressed the most important concepts and methods of change management and how organizations and their human resources adapt to the rapid changes in the work environment.
The topics of the course included the following:
Define the concept of organizational change and its importance in the development of business organizations.
Types of change, its sources, and the factors driving it within the organization.
The role of human resources in supporting change processes and facilitating the transition of employees from the current situation to the new situation.
Strategies for adapting to change and reducing employee resistance.
Leaders’ skills in change management and effective communication during critical stages.
Practical applications and case studies on how to manage change in educational, banking and service institutions.
The course witnessed a wide interaction from the participating students, as it was interspersed with scientific discussions and practical examples that enhanced the students’ understanding of how to face organizational changes, and deal with them in a way that achieves institutional goals and raises the level of performance.
This course comes as part of the college’s interest in providing its students with the necessary knowledge and skills to deal with the changing business environment, which contributes to preparing cadres capable of managing development and change within organizations efficiently and flexibly.
