In line with the University of Karbala’s direction to support researchers and develop scientific publishing skills, the College of Administration and Economics organized a training course titled “How to Upload a Research Paper on the OJS Platform by Researchers.” The course was held over three days, from November 24 to November 26, 2025, with the participation of a group of faculty members, staff, and researchers from the college.
The course was delivered by:

- Assistant Lecturer Ghaida Mohammed Ali Izzat
The course included a detailed explanation of how to use the OJS (Open Journal Systems) platform for managing scientific journals, and how researchers can upload their papers in accordance with approved guidelines. This covered all stages, beginning with account creation and login, through file submission requirements and completing metadata, and concluding with the review and editing procedures and responding to editors’ comments.
The lecturers also addressed the most common mistakes made by researchers when submitting papers through the platform and provided practical guidelines to facilitate the publication process and ensure acceptance of research within approved academic contexts.
The course witnessed notable interaction from participants, who praised the information provided and its importance in enhancing their research capabilities, confirming that such workshops contribute to raising the quality of scientific publishing within the college.
This course is part of a series of training programs implemented by the college aimed at developing the academic and research skills of its members and keeping pace with recent developments in global publishing platforms.
