The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Karbala organized a training course titled “Financial Planning and Budget Preparation”, delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Suad Ali Abdul Abbas, held from December 14 to 16, 2025, with the participation of undergraduate students.
The course aimed to enhance students’ knowledge in financial planning and budget preparation, highlighting their role in supporting financial and administrative decision-making, optimizing the use of financial resources, and improving institutional performance.
The course covered several key topics, including:
- The concept and objectives of financial planning.
- Types of budgets and methods of preparation.
- Financial forecasting.
- The role of budgets in financial control and performance evaluation.
Practical examples and applied models were presented to connect theoretical knowledge with real-world application.
The course witnessed active participation from students, who emphasized the importance of such training in developing their academic and practical skills and preparing them for the labor market. The College reaffirmed its commitment to continuing these courses and scientific activities aimed at enhancing the professional and academic level of its students.
