Under the patronage of the Deanship of the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Karbala, the Department of Economics organized a religious and cultural celebration on the occasion of the blessed Sha‘baniyah birth anniversaries, in commemoration of the births of the Muhammadan luminaries and the Imams of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them). The event was attended by a number of faculty members, staff, and students of the Department.
The celebration included religious and cultural segments that reflected the depth of this blessed occasion and the faith-based and moral values it embodies. The event opened with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, followed by welcoming speeches that emphasized the importance of commemorating religious occasions and their role in strengthening Islamic values and cultural identity within the university environment.
The program also featured a religious lecture addressing the meanings of the Sha‘baniyah birth anniversaries and the lessons drawn from the lives of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), in addition to the recitation of religious poems and chants that conveyed the atmosphere of joy and happiness associated with this fragrant occasion.
In its address, the Presidency of the Department of Economics affirmed that holding such events contributes to strengthening the spirit of love and fraternity among the members of the College and enhances religious and national belonging, in addition to its role in creating a balanced university environment that combines academic pursuit with moral and value-based dimensions.
At the conclusion of the celebration, congratulations and best wishes were extended on this blessed occasion in a faith-filled atmosphere that reflected the positive engagement of the attendees, with prayers that Allah may return this occasion upon Iraq and its people with security, peace, and goodness.
