Within the framework of the Department of Finance and Banking Sciences’ keenness to enhance the quality of scientific research and keep pace with the developments of postgraduate studies, the department continues to organize its periodic scientific seminars for master’s and doctoral students, as part of its methodological plan to follow up the stages of completion of theses and theses.
These seminars aim to assess the level of scientific progress of students, by discussing the basic research foundations, including identifying the research problem, formulating research hypotheses or questions, reviewing previous studies, as well as evaluating the theoretical frameworks and methodologies adopted in the applied aspect.
These seminars are interspersed with scientific presentations by students to explain their findings in the various stages of research, followed by an in-depth scientific discussion by the scientific committees and professors of the department, which includes the presentation of sober methodological observations that contribute to guiding and enhancing the research path, while emphasizing adherence to the standards of scientific originality and academic research ethics.
The supervising committees also emphasize the importance of adhering to the specified timetables, and the need to employ statistical and analytical tools appropriate to the nature of each study, in line with solid academic standards.
These seminars come as part of the department’s continuous efforts to support the research environment, develop students’ skills, and raise the level of postgraduate graduates in a way that enhances the quality and excellence of academic performance.
