Dean of the College of Administration and Economics Participates in the University of Karbala Symposium on the Iraqi National Security Strategy 2025–2030

Assistant Professor Dr. Hashim Jabbar Al-Husseini, Dean of the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Karbala, participated in a panel discussion organized by the University of Karbala in cooperation with the National Security Directorate in Holy Karbala, titled “The Iraqi National Security Strategy for the Years 2025–2030.”

The symposium was part of the ongoing cooperation between academic and security institutions, aimed at promoting security awareness, introducing the concepts of national security strategy, and strengthening the societal role in protecting the community against challenges and negative phenomena that may affect its stability.

The event was attended by the President of the University of Karbala, Professor Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, and the university’s Scientific Assistant, Dr. Haider Mohammed Imran, along with several college deans, faculty members, and students.

The symposium covered multiple topics, including political, economic, social, religious, and media dimensions, with emphasis on the role of social media in supporting or threatening national security.

In his remarks, Dr. Al-Husseini emphasized that the participation of the College of Administration and Economics in such events reflects the university’s mission in supporting national efforts and enhancing intellectual and societal security. He also highlighted the importance of strengthening students’ awareness of national security concepts and upholding national values.

The symposium concluded with a set of recommendations stressing the need for continued cooperation between universities and security institutions to instill a culture of national security and reinforce the principles of responsible citizenship among youth.
