The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Karbala Organizes a Training Course Titled“How to Succeed in Your Studies Under the Bologna System”

The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Karbala organized a training course titled “How to Succeed in Your Studies Under the Bologna System” from November 30 to December 2, 2025, with wide participation from undergraduate students.

The course was delivered by a specialized academic team consisting of:

  • Asst. Lecturer Suad Jabir Sultan
  • Asst. Prof. Dr. Salah Mahdi Jaber
  • Asst. Prof. Dr. Ali Aed Nasser

The course aimed to familiarize students with the mechanisms of the Bologna educational system, which has recently begun to be implemented in Iraqi universities, and to explain how to adapt to it in order to achieve the best academic and practical outcomes.

The course covered several essential topics, including:

  • The concept of the Bologna System and its objectives in developing university education.
  • How to manage time and set priorities within the new system.
  • Understanding ECTS credit units and how they are calculated.
  • Strategies for success in exams and continuous assessments.
  • Enhancing self-learning and teamwork skills in alignment with system requirements.

The course also included interactive discussions between the instructors and students, addressing the challenges students may face when transitioning to the Bologna System and offering practical guidance to help them make the most of it.

This course is part of the college’s ongoing efforts to support students, enable them to keep pace with modern developments in higher education, and prepare them for effective integration into a dynamic learning environment centered on critical thinking and applied skills.
