The Department of Finance and Banking at the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Karbala organized a training course entitled:
“The Mechanism of Artificial Intelligence in Reducing Banking Risks”, for the period from October 20 to 23, 2025, with the participation of undergraduate students in the department.
The lectures of the course were presented by Prof. Dr. Haider Younis Al-Moussawi, Prof. Dr. Noor Salah Abdel Nabi, Prof. Dr. Noor Sabah Al-Dahan, and Prof. Dr. Hadeer Khayoun Ashour, during which they discussed the most important applications of artificial intelligence in the banking sector, and its role in reducing operational and credit risks and improving the accuracy of financial decision-making.
The course aimed to enhance students’ awareness of the importance of digital transformation and the adoption of smart technologies in banking, as well as provide them with data analysis and risk forecasting skills using artificial intelligence tools.
At the end of the course, the lecturers praised the students’ interaction and their keenness to keep pace with modern technological developments, stressing that these training programs represent an important step towards preparing financial cadres capable of keeping pace with the requirements of the contemporary banking market.
