Abstract:

    The current research seeks to test the potential role of the quality of work life in promoting organizational citizenship behavior, through application in one of the public sector directorates, and in order to achieve this, the dimensions of quality of work life were adopted (employee development, participation, compensation, supervision, work environment)  The dimensions of the organizational citizenship behavior variable represented by (altruism, civility, sportsmanship, conscience awareness, civilized behavior) were adopted, and the research problem was represented by the question that states, “What is the degree of interest of the senior management in the traditional and modern work life quality programs in the organization in question?”  On the questionnaire form to explore and address the research problem, the research sample was represented by the Directorate of Youth and Sports affiliated to the Najaf Governorate Diwan as a field for the application of the research, and for the purpose of determining the relationship between the research variables, a set of main and subsidiary hypotheses was developed, and the questionnaire was designed as a main tool for data collection, which was prepared by  The researcher based on ready-made scales to explore the correlation and influence relationships between the research variables, where the questionnaire was distributed in the manner of the intentional random sampling  Where the researcher distributed (90) questionnaires to a number of employees in the directorate, and (85) questionnaires were retrieved, of which (82) were valid for statistical analysis.  The data was analyzed using the statistical analysis program Amos v23, Amos v23 (Spss), and the research adopted the descriptive analytical approach, and the research reached a set of conclusions, the most important of which was a great agreement and interaction between the opinions of the study sample about the importance of having working individuals’ Full knowledge of various information related to their work through communication skills used by managers and supervisors.  As well as the extent of their skills and abilities in evaluating the level of work.  The research concluded with a number of recommendations, the most important of which was the need for the research sample departments to pay more attention to the activities of exploring and investing in development and investment opportunities, due to their necessity in maintaining the development of skills and enhancing the functional competencies of the department and providing the best services to the beneficiaries and the importance of expanding service activity in increasing the provision of new services.
