Abstract
The research focused on analyzing the relationship between unemployment and crime in the Kurdistan Region – Erbil governorate for the year 2017, Through the use of the questionnaire form method through the distribution of a sample of study, In addition, official data provided by government agencies on crime and unemployment rates have been used. The research concluded with many results and a set of conclusions and recommendations, Most important, the economic factors (the need for money and the lack of a job opportunity) are among the main reasons for committing the crime. The main recommendations were ,The need for the government to develop an appropriate employment policy to provide employment opportunities for those who are able and willing.
