The global activities presently , especially in advance nations , suffer from the competition . So as to , the classic al barriers , such as customs types , to start diminution . But , there is increasingly confirmation upon the technical progress , and the criterions of environment and quality , which is tend to , create new rivals , with high degree of quality and power . In addition , the traditional source of completion , so as to , comparative advantage , which is related to natural resources , and endowment , become incapable to develop the economy , in the recent competitive environment .
So that , the competition become the language and weapon , in recent environment , because of :-
1-The scientific and technical progress .
2-The regional economic bloc
3-domination the capitalism and its concepts over the global economy .
4-Steng then the movement of rivals over the markets among the nations .
5-Using the international trade to support the economic development .
Therefore the trade increasingly become the connecting link , among deferent nations , and to help , create the competitive advantage , and to open new markets , and increase the welfare of the societies , by expansion the preferences of consumption , in addition of the optimal using of resources , therefore , in now a days there is set of direction , which is reflect , the fundamental variation , that comprise the global society , which indicate to new situation , in the global economic system , that we can list it as following :-
1-Apperance new style in the economic and political relationship , among the global nations .

2-The popular development in economics thought which is reflect the following phenomenon’s :-
A-The competition stand upon the discrimination of quality service in place of price
B- The touristic product depend on the nature of the service .
C- The remaining in global markets , depend , on the ability of the service , to adjustment , with the requirements of global touristic demand .
D-The ability of using the new technical , in order to generate new competitive advantage . Finally , in order to achieve our object , we divided the study in to the following chapters :-
The first chapter devoted to study the general concepts of the competitive advantage and its developing stages . In addition we study the development of its concepts , and application stage.
The second chapter , developed to the theoretical framework of the tourism , so that , we study its general concepts , and the indicators of touristic competitiveness, the third chapter devoted t the measurement of the effect of the indicators of touristic competitive advantage upon the touristic demand over nations which follow our study . In addition we study the nature of tourism in Iraq .
Finally the study deal with some conclusion and recommendations.
