Abstract

This research was aimed at identifying the  economic efficiency of one of the productive projects in Karbala governorate, namely Al – Ali Poultry Field for the production of meat breeds in Karbala governorate during the period (2013-2017) The data of the evaluation process were collected through the personal interview with the owner of the field. In the process of evaluating the economic performance, the results of the evaluation showed that the field achieves an average annual profit during the period of research at (39) million dinars, which  reflects the profitability of the field, while the average annual rate of return on investment during the period of research (32%) which is good if Currant by The interest granted by banks ranging from (10% – 12%), The net added value, which represents the amount of the realized contribution to the national income, achieved an annual average during the research period of JD (106) million, while the average yield of the dinar invested during the research period was JD (1.3) million, These standards have proven economic field efficiency. Despite the economic efficiency of the field, the rate of productivity was fluctuated during the period of research and the exploitation of design energy significantly because of the proportion of birds that died, which ranged between (22% – 30%) during the research period, a large proportion compared with the amount In addition, the problem of the continuous rise in the prices of inputs, which affects the efficiency and profitability of the field, and this problem requires the intervention of the State through support for these productive projects, which Contribute to the revitalization of the economic reality in the city of Karbala in particular and Iraq in general.
