Abstract
The aim of this study is to determine the importance of financial flexibility in banks and their impact on banking risk. As an independent variable in bank risk, the index dependent variable (credit risk, liquidity risk, capital risk, market risk).
The problem of the study was determined by the nature of the relationship between financial flexibility and banking risk, which is a problem in itself.
And study the methods used in banks to face the risks and know the extent to which financial flexibility indicators can be applied in banks, and to know what the level of the relationship between the indicators of the variables of the study and their nature. This relationship was tested in Iraqi and UAE
banks using quarterly financial statements for the period (2011-2018). The objectives of the study and to diagnose the level and direction of financial flexibility and its role in banking risk within the study sample banks;
