Abstract:

      Public spending policies are one of the state’s strategies that increase the economy’s ability to grow and develop,

     The State is the largest buyer in the internal market, especially in oil countries, and works public spending policies for the purpose of providing a base for the private sector and the use of spending is a demand that stimulates producers and move the market and rid it of recession or recession or to stimulate industry or agriculture or other.

The importance of the research stems from knowing the contribution of public spending in correcting the investment situation in Iraq , And its role in improving the investment situation and diversification of the production base to increase the proportion of the contribution of productive sectors to GDP , The research reached a number of recommendations that the structure of public spending and privatization and raise its levels in a way that ensures its orientation towards its main objectives of knowing the nature of the relationship between public spending and investment in Iraq for the period 1994-2017 and know the productivity of this spending , The research is based on a hypothesis based on a weak relationship between Public spending and investment .
