Abstract

The objective of the present study was to test the moderator role between transformational leadership (independent variable) and positive psychological capital (interactive variable) in enhancing the organizational readiness towards innovation (variable approved) for a sample of the Directorate General of Education in Babylon Governorate. The study depending on basic problem that have been identified relayed by several questions such as, what the impact of the transformation of transformational leadership and psychological capital positive in achieving the readiness of organizations towards innovation? The analytical descriptive approach was used to obtain, view and analyze information. The questionnaire was the primary tool for gathering information for a sample of staff (175) from various managerial levels.

A number of statistical methods were used, including the arithmetic mean and the standard deviation, the correlation coefficient (Pearson) and the simple and multiple regression of the moderator relations test. These methods were used by the statistical program (SPSS V, 23) This study reached a number of conclusions, the most important of which is that the attention of the Directorate of Education Babylon, the existence of positive psychological capital can increase the impact of transformational leadership behaviors in enhancing organizational readiness towards innovation

The existence of positive psychic capital along with transformative leadership behaviors that can be enhanced the dimensions of organizational readiness towards innovation (structure and organizational culture that support innovation – leadership style and management that support innovation – organizational support for innovation and development inventive human capital – orientation to learning and knowledge management) in the study sample.

Based on these conclusions, a number of recommendations were presented, the most important of which is the need to give positive psychological capital and philosophy to the attention of senior leaders of the Directorate of Education of Babylon as well as to activate the role of transformational leadership because of their impact in enhancing the commitment and loyalty of employees.
